About Mudthumper Music

Started in 1994 by Walt Koken in order to publish his recordings, Mudthumper was shelved when Rounder Records offered to release his first and second solo banjo CD's. Mudthumper Music has since grown to provide the tools to record and master CD's, and to produce accompanying artwork. Mudthumper Music has been committed to the presentation and preservation of non-electrified, fiddle-banjo oriented music of the American fiddle tune tradition. Comments and suggestions are welcome.
Mudthumper has plans to produce other recordings.
